If I would have used who I was going to use, it wouldn't have been insurable because the other contractor wasn't licensed and bonded. Comment: My mother lives in our old home and I'm states away and since my dad past she really doesn't have anyone to help her out. Eventually, she'll need to move to an assisted living facility, but until then she likes her independent life with her little dog. She's active in her Church and was getting some 'supposedly good Christians' to help her. I suspected she was possibly being taken advantage of, so I had these guys come check on a few things and I was glad I did. They took care of all her issues and charged me less than what those 'supposed Christians' wanted. Also, when talking with the owner, he was very understanding and even offered to stop by and check on mom if I ever had any worries. I thought that was nice to know. It's nice that there are still honest people helping others out of the kindness of their heart.

Comment: I just bought a house and needed the chimney fixed. I had one guy come out and quoted me $1,200 and Virginia's quoted me $1,800 so I went with ************ (redacted) which was cheaper. He wanted 1/2 down so I paid him $600 and I never saw him again. He wouldn't return my calls and I was screwed. So, I hired Virginia's and I have to admit I was now skeptical, and they wanted 60% down. I paid it and they did the work no problem. Troy gave me a $100 military discount because I was in the service. So, in the end it cost me trying to get it done on the cheap when I should have just hired these guys. Life is full of lessons, so learn from my mistake.

Comment: I didn't have these guys do my roof, but my father did and said I should ask Troy to come over and look at the workmanship before I paid the other contractor the final payment. Ashton and Troy came over and I know everyone has an opinion, but they pointed out several things that were wrong. They only charged me $75 and it was the best money I spent. The other contractor was pissed and tried to argue with me, but in the end they fixed it. Not sure if they do inspections or it was just a favor because my dad knew Troy, but I'm glad they helped me out. I should have just called Troy to begin with, but he was backed up and I didn't want to wait and I thought I could save some money.

Comment: I didn't want a bunch of illegals working on my roof and dealing with issues if someone got hurt. There seems to be a lot of contractors out there that are cheap and have a large labor force what I think are probably illegals. That's just my opinion and I base that on none of them speaking English. Call me racist or whatever you want, but I had several roofing company's look at what I needed, and I asked to see their workers comp policy and license numbers. I told them that my father-in-law hired someone to do his roof and he got sued because one of the workers got hurt and the contractor had NO insurance. Most of these guys never got back to me or said I didn't need it etc. When Steve came out, he said no problem and the owner called me and gave me the information. I even went to my homeowner's policy company, ********** (redacted), and they verified it was legit. Maybe some people would not care, but not me.

Comment: Had a house fire and what a mess, my insurance agent suggested I use this company and they were great. They cleaned up the damage, replaced the wiring, and replaced the drywall etc. I was sick to my stomach, but when they were done, I ended up with a nice kitchen and you'd never know we had a fire.
